And the new belly picture, taken at 20 weeks and 1 day...
How Far along: 20 Weeks 2 Days
Weight gain: 18 pounds total. I nearly fainted when the nurse told me the new total.
Maternity Clothes?: Almost exclusively. I still have a pair or two of pre-preg pants I can pull off with the BeBand and a few shirts that are long enough to continue wearing.
Stretch Marks?: Nope. Still slathering myself with Palmer's lotion every morning.
Sleep?: Depends on the day...but not too bad the last couple weeks.
Best Moment this week?: Finding out we have a little boy on the way!
Movement?: O yeah....but when I happen to eat a bit more sugar then usually, he goes nuts!
Food Craving?: Nothing in particular. I am really trying to focus on only eating when I'm actually hungry and being a little more lax on all the foods/amounts of foods I'm supposed to be getting every day. I found that I was never actually letting myself get hungry.
Gender?: Boy!
Labor Signs: Nope
What I miss?: Lunch meat!
What I'm looking forward to?: Spending the Thanksgiving holiday in Ohio with the in-laws and getting some things for Baby B on Black Friday!
Emotions: Pretty normal in my opinion, although Scott might have a differing opinion.
We had our anatomy scan last Friday and the ultrasound tech was positive Baby B is a boy. I was shocked! Of course, I am thrilled, but my instincts were telling me we had a little girl in there.
I have to go back in two weeks for another scan, so I will probably make them double check then...but only because I naturally question everything! The baby had his hand in front of his mouth the entire time and was sitting butt down, so they want me to come back so they can check those last couple of things.
In other news...today, Baby B is HALF BAKED!
Here is my picture from last week. I know it's a week late, but I promise I'll post today's picture tomorrow night...
I definitely had a growth spurt and started to pop last week, although my boobs are still taking the lead!
It's been a busy week and we leave on Wednesday for the in-laws for the holiday. So I'll be sure to post the new belly pic and the new pics of Baby B tomorrow!
Almost on time this week....here's Monday's pictures:
I swear I grew again since last night. It has also become more uncomfortable to sit at my desk all day, even with taking frequent walks around the office. I've even resorted to sitting on a pillow.
How Far along: 18 Weeks 2 Days
Weight gain: Still 9 pounds...have an appointment on the 19th and will find out the new number then.
Maternity Clothes?: Same as before, but I've been ordering more and more clothes. Scott and I also moved most of the clothes that don't fit me into the closet in the spare bedroom so I can more easily avoid trying to squeeze into them.
Stretch Marks?: Nope. Still slathering myself with Palmer's lotion every morning.
Sleep?: Not so good the last couple days...can't seem to get comfortable. I wake up a lot with sore hips.
Best Moment this week?: We had a good time Sunday walking around Babies R Us so Scott to start finalizing the registry and look at furniture choices.
Movement?: More and more now. Today was the first day I could feel the baby almost constantly. She must be doing somersaults in there!
Food Craving?: Been doing my best to eat the foods on my recommended food lists. I'm definitely making an effort to get more protein and bring two hard boiled eggs with me to work every day so I get those in.
Gender?: November 19th!
Labor Signs: Not yet!
What I miss?: Nothing I can think of right now.
What I'm looking forward to?: Lots...next week is a big week. And our trip to the Bahamas in December...even if it is only a couple days!
Emotions: I tend to burst out laughing at the most random times...even if I'm in the middle of being angry with Scott!
As far as day care goes...I took last Friday off to start the search and narrow down the choices. I visited six total locations.
Three of the locations are actually owned by the same couple, which made things a little easier. The biggest difference between the three were the age of the building and size of the school. They all also utilize webcams, so we could log in anytime during the day and see the baby. It would also be great for our relatives who won't see the baby quite as often.
I also really liked one of the smaller, less "fancy" locations. It had a much different feel but I loved the way the infant teacher interacted with the babies.
So now it's time for Scott to go back and visit my two top choices when he gets a chance. Hopefully we can have this all sorted out in the next month or so!
Well, I made it to 17 weeks this past Monday...here's the pic from Monday and current stats...enjoy!!
How Far along: 17 Weeks 2 Days
Weight gain: 9 lbs as of my appointment a couple weeks ago. I no longer weigh myself at home, so we'll see what the new number is in a couple weeks.
Maternity Clothes?: I still only have two pairs of maternity pants that I can wear to work and one pre-pregnancy pair that I can wear with the BeBand. However, I ordered a couple more pairs from Old Navy which should be arriving soon, so hopefully those will fit. As far as shirts, I still do a mixture, but for the most part a tank and cardigan still work. Although, most of my pre-pregnancy shirts are too short on me now and just don't look right.
Stretch Marks?: Nope. Still slathering myself with Palmer's lotion every morning.
Sleep?: Doing pretty well...might wake up once or twice during the night, but definitely better than before.
Best Moment this week?: Being lazy with Scott all day Sunday...even if it was just because he was deathly ill. We don't often get those days anymore when we can just lay around together all day.
Movement?: Yes! Starting last week, I feel this subtle popping feeling in my lower abdomen. I've only felt it about 4-5 days total since the beginning of last week and it only happens a few times before it stops, but it's awesome!
Food Craving?: Nothing in particular still. My Bradley Method class had a nutritionist come and speak with us last night, so I need to sit down and really try and get in all the recommended foods per day. One big one I have trouble with is the protein, since I don't eat a whole lot of meat, and the two eggs per day. Looks like the shopping list is going to change for next week!
Gender?: We'll find out on November 19th at the Anatomy Scan!!
Labor Signs: Way too early for that!
What I miss?: All I wanted on Friday night was a beer!
What I'm looking forward to?: We've decided to go to the Bahamas for a long weekend around my birthday!
Emotions: My biggest issue lately is stress...otherwise, I think I've been pretty normal this past week.
